In collaboration with Amir Diba and the bi-annual “Thrift Street” event he puts on for the Columbia community, Blossom Magazine sat down with him to talk about all things music. My co Editor-in-Chief and I pitched the idea to Amir and arranged a staff interview with him during the event. After we filmed the interview, I walked around Thrift Street shooting b-roll and approaching strangers to ask what their favorite album was as transition shots between the main interview topics. I was executive producer for this project as I co-directed, shot, and edited the video in its entirety. The video was posted on the magazine’s YouTube account and not only brought awareness to Thrift Street, but also increased the magazine’s engagement with the greater Columbia creative community.
